Introduction to Bushcraft

This course is normally a two night course.  Topics covered:  Camp craft, Safe use of cutting tools, Shelter building and lightweight camping systems, Fire making and management, Finding/purifying water, Finding edible & medicinal plants/wild foods, Natural cordage, Backwoods cookery, Survival techniques, tracking & trapping, Living with nature.

One day taster sessions also available

Wilderness Gourmet

This course is based around the sourcing, preparing and the cooking in many ways of delicious wild foods.  This will mean the skinning, plucking and dressing of wild game and fish but does not involve the killing of any of the species of mammal or fish used. (not all the food is wild food, food sourced from commercial suppliers will be organic and seasonal and sourced from local growers).

School & Youth Groups

We run a number of courses for school and youth groups including a one day (6 hours) and 24 hour and 48 hour residential courses.  

These stimulating events cover a number of hands-on Bushcraft and Wilderness skills that build confidence, teach life skills and nature awareness activities that stimulate the imagination and provide knowledge of the countryside.

Family Group (1 day & weekend sessions)

Based around the Introduction to Bushcraft course with the twist of adults and juniors being taught different skills so that they need to interact and work with each other to succeed in completing the tasks in hand.  We also incorporate nature awareness activities such as Hawk Eyes and Crafty Fox to introduce new ways of exploring the natural environment.

Private Functions

Our wide range of activities can be selected in any combination to make your party a different and thoroughly enjoyable event and all to fit in and around any existing plans you may have.  We can arrange your event at one of our sites or on your own land if you have a suitable location.

Our outdoor activities are a big hit with both young and old alike.  Our involvement can be as simple as providing the activities throughout the day or evening to organising the whole event with us providing all the food, beverages and even the celebration cake (due to health and safety and insurance reasons we are not able to provide certain activities when alcohol could have been or has been consumed.  Sorry).

4X4 Campcraft & Greenlaning

On this course we teach the skills required when camping in an expedition type of environment coupled with both day and night greenlaning runs.
