Photography Workshop – Beginner

Do you want to find out how to take better photos? Are you wondering how to master your camera and take your photography to the next level?
Our experienced trainer, Bob Q Martin, can show you how to do just that. Over the course of the day, you will learn essential photographic theory with practical advice and techniques that will instantly improve your pictures. We will reveal professional techniques including: how to set up your camera for perfect exposures, improving your shots with simple composition tricks and even how keep your kit clean and dry in all weather conditions.
Our site is home to a wide range of wildlife from badgers and deer to owls and snakes and under the expert tuition of bushcraft expert, Andrew Shaw, you can learn tracking skills, how to approach wildlife without startling it and basic woodland skills which will allow you to be more at home in the wild.
You will learn how to:
- Master your own camera and all the major settings
- To track animals and become more at home in the wild
- Use professional techniques to get pin-sharp shots every time.
- Improve your macro photography using reflectors and ambient light
- Use composition to make your pictures reach their full potential.
- And much more!
You will need to bring:
- Camera and lenses (digital compacts are fine but DSLRs are better)
- Plenty of batteries and memory card to last the day
- Warm clothes and outdoor footwear
- Wet weather kit (just in case)
Other kit that would be useful:
- Macro lens
- Sturdy tripod
- Reflector
- Flashgun
- Sense of humour
We will provide a campfire barbeque lunch and will keep the hot drinks flowing throughout the day. Remember to tell us if you have any special dietary requirements though.
Once you have booked onto the workshop, we can provide expert advice regarding any new kit you are thinking of buying.
